Sales Associate
Gwinnett Broadcasting Company is seeking a highly motivated sales associate. The position requires an ambitious individual to drive sales and build upon our growing advertising and sponsorship base.
GBC produces HD news and entertainment programming geared toward the 800,000 residents of Gwinnett. We launched just a little over a month ago and have already generated a subscriber base of over 34,400+ and counting. GBC has quickly become a direct link and trusted resource for the community and is backed by a strong board of advisors made up of leaders throughout the county.
The position requires a solid understanding of Gwinnett County, its leading businesses, and the people who make up this community. The chosen candidate will work closely with the president of the company and frequently talk and meet with the top people within a number of businesses and organizations. Strong sales and closing skills are essential, as well as a high level of energy and great attitude. Must dress well.
We’re not looking for someone who can generate excuses. The ideal candidate will possess a solid sales background, excellent telephone skills, and an understanding of new media. Candidates must also be able to prioritize, work independently, generate leads, work flexible hours, and meet deadlines. Candidates with prior experience in advertising sales preferred.
We are very careful about who represents our company to the public. We will be very selective. If you look/sound like a “sales” person, we don’t want you. We want someone who understands and knows how to work with people. This is not Amway.
