Officials with the Sheriff’s Department say a female inmate punched a female deputy in the face Friday. Ernesteen Crawford was in a lineup with other female inmates, when she began shouting. The deputy approached Crawford to talk, and that’s when she threw the punch. Deputies had to use a taser to get Crawford under control – she was then put in a restraint chair. Crawford will be charged with Obstruction of a Law Enforcement Officer. She was moved to a maximum-security unit for female inmates. Crawford has been in jail since January on a felony probation violation. The deputy was not seriously injured.

Police are still looking for 2 men they believe shot and killed a Snellville man. 48-year-old Marvin Tyus was shot just once, and police say there was a scuffle between the suspects and Tyus. Detectives are staying tight lipped on the motive and details on the suspects are vague. The suspects are described as 2 black males – one tall with dreadlocks in his early 30’s. The other is short with short/cropped hair in his early 20’s. The men got away in a red passenger car, and there could be a 3rd suspect.

District 3 County Commissioner Mike Beaudreau will hold April’s monthly meeting Saturday April 9th. The meeting will be held at the Mountain Park Activity Building in Stone Mountain at 10 – 11:30 AM.

This movement is heavily promoted by Tea Party and similar organizations. This is the same group of people who revere the Founding Fathers, ceaselessly quote Ronald Reagan, and view Sarah Palin…
