A car crash, stopping at one point 3 lanes of traffic early this morning, left one man dead. Police say 25-year-old Jonathan Manzano was speeding northbound on 85 near the Gainesville exit when his vehicle veered left, struck a guardrail and burst into flames.

Investigators aren’t sure how fast Manzano was driving but believed speed was the main factor in the crash – in fact other drivers on 85 were so worried they called 911. Corporal Smith says:

“The 911 call complaining about the speed came in at 4:08 this morning and the call for the accident came in at 4:10.”

By the time authorities arrived, the ’95 Camero was completely consumed by flames. The exact cause of death is still unknown, but police believe drugs and alcohol did not play a role in the single car accident.
