A “No Trespassing” sign hanging on a fence of a Snellville home, didn’t stop 2 men from going inside and shooting 48 year old Marvin Tyus – ultimately killing him.

On Monday afternoon, police say the suspects made their way inside the Anderson Livsey Lane home, thanks to an unlocked storm door. Corporal Smith with the Gwinnett Police Department says:

“When they encountered the victim, a scuffle ensued, and the victim was shot one time.”

While others were inside during the invasion, no one else was hurt. At this point detectives are staying tight lipped on the motive and details on the suspects are vague.

“Two black males – one taller and one shorter – the shorter of the 2 had a pretty clean short hair and he wore a black tee shirt. The taller of the 2 had dreadlocks and also wore a black tee shirt. The taller suspect is estimated to be in his early 30’s, the shorter in his early 20’s.”

The men got away in a red passenger car and police say there could be a 3rd suspect. Corporal Smith says there has been some trouble in the neighborhood, but nothing of this magnitude.
